In a newer Morinville home the plumbing and layout are usually fine; what lets the kitchen down is short uppers with dead space above, base cabinets with doors instead of drawers, and no pantry. New kitchen cabinets fix that: uppers to the ceiling, drawer bases on Blum runners, and a tall pantry wall where the room allows. On acreages we often plan a larger island and a second prep zone.
