Custom kitchen cabinet cost and payments

01How much does a custom kitchen cost?+

Most of our kitchens fall between $20,000 and $60,000+, installed, in CAD before GST. Cabinets run from about $380 per linear foot of base cabinets in melamine to $820 in solid wood.

02Is the quote free?+

Yes. The first conversation and quote are free. The on-site measure is paid, and the fee is credited in full to your order.

03How do payments work?+

Three payments: 30% at signing, 40% when production is complete, 30% after installation and walkthrough. The deposit is non-refundable once production starts, except where the law requires otherwise.

04Do you offer financing?+

Yes, through our financing partner. Rates and approval are set by the partner.

05What is not included in your price?+

Plumbing, electrical, gas, drywall and flooring. We coordinate licensed partner trades and their work is quoted separately.

Design and materials

01What is the best material for kitchen cabinets?+

For boxes, branded melamine panels such as Egger or Uniboard, fully edge-banded: stable, moisture-resistant and easy to keep clean. For doors it depends on the look and budget: melamine and thermofoil for value, painted MDF for colour, wood veneer or solid wood for grain, Fenix NTM for a super-matt, anti-fingerprint surface. Hardware is Blum, with Richelieu and AGT where they fit.

02Custom vs semi-custom kitchen cabinets: what's the difference?+

Semi-custom cabinets come in set widths (usually 3-inch steps) with fillers to close the gaps. Custom cabinets are built to the measured size of your room, so they use every inch, fit out-of-square walls and can follow sloped ceilings or bulkheads. Everything we make is custom.

03Will I see the design before I pay?+

Yes. You get a 3D design and a line-by-line quote, and you can revise both before signing.

04Can you build unusual or tricky layouts?+

Yes, and we like them: sloped ceilings, odd angles, bulkheads, out-of-square walls. Every cabinet is cut to the measured size.

05Do you have a showroom?+

A showroom is planned. For now you can see samples by appointment.

06Do you work with interior designers and builders?+

Yes. We have a trade program with drawings, pricing and scheduling built for designers and multi-family builders.

How long a custom kitchen takes: production and installation

01How long does a custom kitchen take?+

Design 1 to 2 weeks, production 3 to 5 weeks, installation 2 to 8 days. Stone countertops are fitted 1 to 3 weeks after cabinets.

02Where are cabinets made?+

In Edmonton, on our own CNC and edge-banding machines. As a cabinet company in Edmonton since 2022, we build and install everything ourselves.

03Who installs?+

Our own team, not subcontractors. The same people who build your cabinets often install them.

04Can changes be made after I sign?+

Small changes are usually possible before production starts. After that, changes may affect price and timing, and we confirm both in writing first.

05Do you remove old cabinets?+

Yes, if you want. Removal and disposal are a separate line in your quote.
