Tall cabinet pantry
One or more 84–96 in. tall cabinets in the kitchen run, 18–36 in. wide, with roll-out shelves behind doors. Best when there's no room for a separate pantry.
$2,500–$5,500Custom pantry cabinets for Edmonton kitchens: tall pull-outs, walk-in shelving or a full butler's pantry. Built in the same materials as your kitchen so it looks like one job, because it is.

A 24 in. deep fixed shelf is where cans go to expire. You see the front row and forget the rest. The fix is either shallower shelves you can see across, or shelves that come out to you.
In a cabinet pantry we use roll-out shelves on Blum full-extension runners, so the back of the shelf comes all the way into the light. In a walk-in we keep shelves 12–16 in. deep and run them on three walls, so nothing hides behind anything else.

$2,500–$5,500
Shelving on two or three walls, 12–16 in. deep, with a lower drawer bank and a counter for small appliances. Typical in new Edmonton builds with a pantry room off the kitchen.
$3,000–$7,000
A second working counter: base cabinets, uppers, a counter, often a coffee station or a second dishwasher. Built like a small kitchen.
$5,000–$12,000Pick the pantry type and wall length, then add roll-outs and extras. Countertop prices use quartz rates.
Low-sided drawers behind doors. The single best upgrade for a deep pantry.
Deep drawers at the bottom for potatoes, onions and bulk bags. Easier than bending into a cupboard.
Mixer, air fryer and toaster live on the counter behind a door. Outlet inside, added by an electrician.
A 6–9 in. wide tall pull-out that uses the gap a normal cabinet would leave as filler.
Every fixed-looking shelf in a walk-in sits on pins at 32 mm spacing, so you can move it when the cereal boxes change.
Shallow or pull-out shelves first, so nothing hides at the back. Then zones: drawers low for heavy bulk items, eye level for daily food, top shelves for backstock. Clear bins help on fixed shelves, and a narrow spice pull-out uses a gap that would otherwise be filler.
Often, yes. We bring door samples to the measure and compare in your light. Melamine and Egger finishes are easier to match than old painted doors. If an exact match isn't possible, we'll suggest a contrast that looks intentional.
No. Two 24 in. tall cabinets with roll-outs hold more usable food than many walk-ins with deep fixed shelves.
Yes. We build the cabinets and leave the openings. Plumbing and electrical are done by licensed trades, which we can coordinate.
3–5 weeks of production after design, then 1–2 days to install. A quartz counter is templated after the cabinets are in and adds 1–3 weeks.
A photo and a tape-measure number are enough to start. We reply within one business day.
