Many Grande Prairie homes from the 1980s and 1990s have oak kitchens with short uppers and a closed layout. We rebuild them with cabinets to the ceiling, an island or peninsula, deep drawers and a pantry wall. Acreage kitchens often get a second sink or a large walk-in pantry. Cabinets run from about $380 per linear foot in melamine to $820 in solid wood, and most kitchens land between $20,000 and $60,000+ (CAD, before GST), with travel quoted individually.
