Many Fort McMurray homes have a builder kitchen that never quite fit how the household cooks. We redesign it with deeper drawers, a pantry wall and an island sized to the room, built in Edmonton and installed on one stay. Cabinets run from about $380 per linear foot in melamine to $820 in solid wood (CAD, before GST), with most kitchens between $20,000 and $60,000+. Travel is quoted individually and the final price comes after the measure.
Fort McMurray is the urban centre of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Housing ranges from older homes downtown and in Thickwood and Abasand to newer subdivisions in Timberlea, Eagle Ridge and Parsons Creek. After the 2016 wildfire, many homes in Beacon Hill, Abasand and Waterways were rebuilt, so parts of the city have newer houses on older streets.
