Lake-area homes often want a long island, a beverage station and a pantry wall. Newer homes in Westmere or Kinniburgh usually start with a builder kitchen that needs taller uppers and more drawers. Cabinets run from about $380 per linear foot in melamine to $820 in solid wood (CAD, before GST), with most kitchens between $20,000 and $60,000+, plus travel quoted individually.
